Half Note

                                                            A musical note having the time value of half a whole note.In music, a half note (American) or minim (British) is a note played for half the duration of a whole note  and twice the duration of a quarter note .  The half note is two beats long.

                  A related symbol is the half note which usually denoted by second note.This is a music note with a hollow note head and stem. It gets two counts of sound.
        1. A note equal in time balue to two quarter notes or four eighth notes; in Britain it is called a minim.

         2.Two beats of sound, played twice as long as a quarter note.
